If you've never tried to make photograms (or rayographs www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/265487) you don't know how fun photography can be! They are photographic images but without the use of cameras. It's produced by placing objects on a light-sensitive paper such as photographic paper and exposing them to light for a specific amount of time. This is how they come up... The photograms above are from Man Ray, one of the biggest photogram artists of all times.
I could literally spend all day in the darkroom doing these. They're fun and quick to make and the images can come out so beautiful. Definitely worth giving it a go if you get the chance. The following pictures are my ones done for a project I'm currently working on...
